Sorted before you leave home
1
Buy before you fly
Pick the plan that covers your stop and where you land. The QR code arrives by email in minutes.
2
Install at home on wifi
Scan the QR code on your own wifi. Most plans only start when they first connect abroad, so installing early costs you no days.
3
Land and you are online
Switch mobile data to the eSIM when the plane lands at the hub. It connects there and again at your destination.
4
Keep your own number
Data only: your home SIM stays on for calls, texts and bank codes.
Why not just use airport wifi?
- Sign-in pages, time limits and slow speeds at busy times
- It stops working the moment you leave the terminal
- You share the network with strangers, so banking and passwords are best kept off it
- Your own eSIM data is a private mobile connection, wherever you are
What a layover with data looks like
- Message home the moment the wheels touch down
- Gate changes and rebooking in your airline app
- Maps, rides and hotel bookings if you go into the city
- Still online when you land at your destination
