Full-service airlines usually include a cabin bag plus a personal item on every fare, while low-cost airlines often include only a small under-seat bag and charge for a larger cabin bag. Use the table to compare the exact sizes and prices.
Fees depend on the fare type, the route, when you add the bag (online is usually cheaper than at the airport) and sometimes your loyalty status. Each airline page lists the fare-by-fare rules.
Every airline page shows the date it was checked against the airline's own website, and pages older than 100 days are withdrawn automatically until they are re-checked.
