An international roaming pack from Jio or Vi keeps your Indian SIM registered on a network in Netherlands: incoming calls, bank and UPI OTPs and WhatsApp codes keep arriving on the number you already have. The operator apps want an Indian card or UPI; here you pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay in your own currency and the pack lands on the line in about a minute.

Most people who top up a number in India also visit. Data from the moment you land, and fares for the trip, from the same place.
Bank OTPs, banking apps and ID verification all need your home SIM active. A small recharge every validity cycle keeps it working while you're abroad.
Parents' phone out of balance? Recharge it from here with your card and they get it before you've closed the tab.
Same Slashtel account as your travel eSIM. One WhatsApp support line for both. Data without borders, in both directions.
Enter the number and we detect the operator automatically. Plans and amounts shown are live from the operator.
Balance codes, customer care numbers and how long each India number stays active are on the India recharge page and each operator page (Airtel, Jio, Vi, BSNL).
Pay with a card from any country. Top up numbers in India with a Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Apple Pay or Google Pay issued anywhere (debit or credit; prepaid and gift cards are not accepted). UPI needs an Indian bank account, and many Indian recharge sites and apps decline cards issued abroad.
Country code +91: how to call India and its number format.
You can recharge an Indian mobile from the Netherlands online in a few minutes: enter the 10 digit Indian number, pick a plan, and pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. Slashtel tops up Airtel, BSNL, Jio and Vi numbers directly, with plans from $2.65 and 32 options listed, checked 29 October 2026.
Last checked: October 2026
You recharge an Indian number from the Netherlands by entering the 10 digit mobile number, choosing a plan for Airtel, BSNL, Jio or Vi, and paying online. The top-up goes straight to the number, so the phone in India does not need an app, a Dutch card or any action from the person receiving it.
Slashtel detects the operator from the number itself, so you do not need to know in advance whether your family is on Airtel, BSNL, Jio or Vi. You only need the number and a payment method that works from the Netherlands.
The listed plans run from 89 INR to 299 INR and cover data only packs, unlimited calls with data, and longer validity options on BSNL, Jio, Vi and Airtel. The amount shown is what lands on the number after the operator's tax, so the person receiving it gets the full listed value.
A short data pack suits someone who mainly needs internet for a few days. Vi offers 6 GB data for 89 INR with 14 days validity, and BSNL offers a 20 GB Data Pack for 105 INR over 7 days. BSNL also lists a 40 GB Data Pack at 198 INR for 30 days.
For calls, BSNL lists 200 minutes plus unlimited data at 107 INR for 20 days, and unlimited calls with unlimited data at 147 INR for 25 days, 153 INR for 24 days and 219 INR for 28 days. Airtel and Vi both list unlimited calls with 2GB at 199 INR for 28 days.
Monthly style plans include Jio at 299 INR for unlimited calls and 1.5GB per day over 28 days, BSNL at 225 INR for unlimited calls and 2.5GB per day over 30 days, and Jio at 175 INR for 10 GB with subscriptions to 10 OTT services over 28 days.
A top-up keeps an Indian number usable for calls, data and one time passwords while you are in the Netherlands. Many people keep an Indian number for bank messages, government services and family contact, and a recharge from abroad is the simplest way to stop it lapsing.
If you live in the Netherlands and still hold an Indian number, check the validity before it runs out. A plan with a longer validity, such as 28 or 30 days, gives more room between top-ups than a short data pack.
You can also top up a parent's or relative's number from the Netherlands without them doing anything. The plan lands on their number and they receive the calls, data and messages included in it.
An Indian mobile number has 10 digits. In international format you write +91, then the 10 digit number, and you drop the leading zero. A number written locally as 081234 56789 becomes +91 81234 56789 when you top it up from the Netherlands.
The most common mistake is keeping the leading zero after the country code. Leave it out. The second most common mistake is adding spaces or extra digits copied from a message.
Enter the number once and check it against what the person in India tells you. Slashtel detects the operator from the number, so if the operator shown looks wrong, the number is probably wrong too.
You pay from the Netherlands by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay, and plans on this page start from $2.65. The listed plan amounts are the values that land on the Indian number after the operator's tax, so what you see on the plan is what the person receives.
Payment is taken in the checkout and the top-up is sent to the Indian number. You do not need an Indian bank account, an Indian card or a local payment app.
Prices shown in INR are the receive values for each plan. The from price of $2.65 reflects the starting cost for a top-up from the Netherlands, and the exact amount depends on the plan you choose. Compare a few plans by validity and data before you pay, especially if you are topping up a number you will recharge again next month.
Enter the 10 digit Indian number with +91, choose a plan for Airtel, BSNL, Jio or Vi, and pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. The top-up goes straight to the number, so the person in India does not need to do anything.
Yes. Airtel is one of the operators covered, with plans such as unlimited calls plus 2GB data at 199 INR for 28 days. Slashtel detects the operator from the number, so you only need the correct 10 digit mobile number.
Enter the BSNL number in international format and choose a BSNL plan. Options include a 20 GB Data Pack at 105 INR for 7 days and unlimited calls with unlimited data at 219 INR for 28 days. Pay online and the plan lands on the number.
Use +91 followed by the 10 digit number, and drop the leading zero. A local number written as 081234 56789 becomes +91 81234 56789. Check the digits carefully before paying, because the operator is detected from the number.
Plans start from $2.65, and the listed plan amounts are what lands on the number after the operator's tax. You pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay, with no Indian bank account needed. The total depends on the plan you pick.
Up to €10: Airtel UL Calls+4GB/Day, 28 days ($10.50). Up to €20: Airtel UL Calls+2 GB Day/84D, 84 days ($22.05). Up to €50: Jio 3GB/D + UL Calls, 84 days ($39.96). Converted at 0.9 EUR per $1 on 7 November 2026.
BSNL at $5.15 for 35 days (UL calls + UL data), about 15¢ a day, as of 7 November 2026. Vi: about 15¢ a day. Airtel: about 15¢ a day. Jio: about 16¢ a day.
Vi, at about ₹52 per $1 on 7 November 2026, against ₹42 per $1 for BSNL.
India (New Delhi) is 4 hours 30 minutes ahead of Amsterdam right now. Recharges are delivered around the clock, so the time of day does not matter.
Enter it with the country code +91. A number written locally as 081234 56789 becomes +91 81234 56789, so drop the leading 0 after the country code. Indian mobile numbers have 10 digits after the country code. The example is a format guide, not a real number.
Enter the number with the country code, pick a plan and pay by card. The operator is detected automatically and the credit goes straight to the phone. You do not need an account or a bank account in India.
Yes. Visa, Mastercard and other major debit and credit cards issued in Netherlands and most other countries are accepted.
Yes. Slashtel tops up any prepaid number in India, your own or a family member's. You only need the number; the person does not need an account.
Recharges are delivered instantly and cannot be reversed once they reach a valid number, so check the number before you pay. If the operator rejects the number, Slashtel resends or refunds you in full.
