An international roaming pack from Jio or Vi keeps your Indian SIM registered on a network in Germany: incoming calls, bank and UPI OTPs and WhatsApp codes keep arriving on the number you already have. The operator apps want an Indian card or UPI; here you pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay in your own currency and the pack lands on the line in about a minute.

Most people who top up a number in India also visit. Data from the moment you land, and fares for the trip, from the same place.
Bank OTPs, banking apps and ID verification all need your home SIM active. A small recharge every validity cycle keeps it working while you're abroad.
Parents' phone out of balance? Recharge it from here with your card and they get it before you've closed the tab.
Same Slashtel account as your travel eSIM. One WhatsApp support line for both. Data without borders, in both directions.
Enter the number and we detect the operator automatically. Plans and amounts shown are live from the operator.
Balance codes, customer care numbers and how long each India number stays active are on the India recharge page and each operator page (Airtel, Jio, Vi, BSNL).
Pay with a card from any country. Top up numbers in India with a Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Apple Pay or Google Pay issued anywhere (debit or credit; prepaid and gift cards are not accepted). UPI needs an Indian bank account, and many Indian recharge sites and apps decline cards issued abroad.
Country code +91: how to call India and its number format.
You can recharge an Indian mobile from Germany online in a few minutes. Enter the 10 digit Indian number, drop the leading zero, pick a plan and pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. Slashtel detects Airtel, BSNL, Jio or Vi from the number itself. Top ups start from $2.65, and there are 32 plans to choose from, checked on 29 October 2026.

You recharge an Indian number from Germany by entering the 10 digit mobile number, choosing a plan for Airtel, BSNL, Jio or Vi, and paying by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. The operator is detected from the number, so you do not need to know which network your family uses before you start. The whole process takes a few minutes.
The top up goes straight to the number you entered. You do not need an account with the Indian operator and you do not need to send anything to your family in India.
If you are unsure which network the number belongs to, enter it anyway. Airtel, BSNL, Jio and Vi are all supported, and the detection step tells you which one you are topping up before you pay.
There are 32 plans across Airtel, BSNL, Jio and Vi, and the sample plans start from 89 INR for 6 GB of data on Vi with 14 days validity. Some plans are data only, while others add unlimited calls or daily data allowances, so you can pick what your family actually uses.
BSNL has the widest spread in the samples. 105 INR gives 20 GB of data for 7 days, 107 INR gives 200 minutes plus unlimited data for 20 days and 147 INR gives unlimited calls plus unlimited data for 25 days. The 198 INR pack carries 40 GB of data for 30 days.
At the 199 INR mark you can choose unlimited calls plus 2 GB of data for 28 days on Airtel or on Vi. Jio offers 10 GB with subscriptions to 10 OTT apps for 28 days at 175 INR, and unlimited calls plus 1.5 GB per day for 28 days at 299 INR. BSNL has a 219 INR plan with unlimited calls and unlimited data for 28 days and a 225 INR plan with unlimited calls plus 2.5 GB per day for 30 days.
Where a plan carries the operator's tax, the amount shown is what lands on the number after that tax. You always see the plan details before you pay.
A regular top up keeps an Indian number alive for family calls, bank messages and anything tied to the number, and it is simpler than asking relatives to pay locally. A plan with unlimited calls and data also means your family can call you without watching the balance.
Many Indian numbers are linked to bank accounts and government services, and those keep working while the number stays active. A plan that runs for 28 or 30 days covers a full month, which is easy to plan around.
If you send a top up from Germany each month, you control the timing rather than relying on someone in India to remember. The from price of $2.65 applies to the lowest sample plan, so a monthly habit stays modest.
Choose a plan that matches the household. A data pack suits someone who mostly uses messaging apps, while unlimited calls plus data suits a family that makes regular voice calls.
Indian mobile numbers have 10 digits, and when you enter one from Germany you drop the leading zero. So 081234 56789 becomes 81234 56789, and in international format with the country code it is +91 81234 56789. Getting this right means the top up reaches the right person.
The country code for India is 91. If your family sends you the number with a zero in front, remove that zero before you type it. If they send it with +91 already in place, just use the 10 digits that follow.
A wrong digit can send the top up to someone else, so read the number back once before paying. The operator is detected from the number, so if the detected network does not match the one your family uses, check the number again before you continue.
You pay from Germany by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay, and the top up goes straight to the Indian number. Prices start from $2.65, and the plan you pick shows what lands on the number, so there is no separate step for your family to take.
Payment is taken in the checkout and the plan is applied to the number. The sample plans range from 89 INR to 299 INR, and each one shows its data, calls and validity before you confirm.
Check the number and the plan before you pay, because a top up that reaches the wrong number cannot be undone. Where the operator applies tax, the amount shown is what lands after tax.
Slashtel is built for people sending top ups home. Keep the number correct, pick the plan from the list and pay from Germany, and your family in India gets the balance.
Enter the 10 digit Indian number without the leading zero, check the operator that is detected, choose a plan for Airtel, BSNL, Jio or Vi and pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. The top up goes straight to the number and starts from $2.65.
Yes. Airtel is one of the four operators supported. Enter the 10 digit number, and Airtel is detected from it. Sample Airtel plans include unlimited calls plus 2 GB of data for 28 days at 199 INR.
Yes. BSNL is supported with the widest range of sample plans, from 20 GB of data for 7 days at 105 INR up to unlimited calls plus 2.5 GB per day for 30 days at 225 INR.
Yes. Indian mobile numbers have 10 digits and the leading zero is dropped when you enter them. So 081234 56789 is entered as 81234 56789, or as +91 81234 56789 in international format.
You pay in the checkout by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. The plan details and validity are shown before you confirm, and prices start from $2.65.

BSNL at $5.15 for 35 days (UL calls + UL data), about 15¢ a day, as of 7 November 2026. Vi: about 15¢ a day. Airtel: about 15¢ a day. Jio: about 16¢ a day.
Vi, at about ₹52 per $1 on 7 November 2026, against ₹42 per $1 for BSNL.
India (New Delhi) is 4 hours 30 minutes ahead of Berlin right now. Recharges are delivered around the clock, so the time of day does not matter.
Enter it with the country code +91. A number written locally as 081234 56789 becomes +91 81234 56789, so drop the leading 0 after the country code. Indian mobile numbers have 10 digits after the country code. The example is a format guide, not a real number.
Enter the number with the country code, pick a plan and pay by card. The operator is detected automatically and the credit goes straight to the phone. You do not need an account or a bank account in India.
Yes. Visa, Mastercard and other major debit and credit cards issued in Germany and most other countries are accepted.
Yes. Slashtel tops up any prepaid number in India, your own or a family member's. You only need the number; the person does not need an account.
Recharges are delivered instantly and cannot be reversed once they reach a valid number, so check the number before you pay. If the operator rejects the number, Slashtel resends or refunds you in full.
Prices on this page are in US dollars and include the Slashtel service fee. At checkout your card may be shown and charged in your local currency, and the exact amount is confirmed before you pay.
Yes. Payments are processed by Stripe with 3D Secure where your bank supports it, and Slashtel never sees or stores your full card details.

If the operator rejects the recharge, we resend it. If it still can't be delivered, write to esim@slashtel.com or message us on WhatsApp with your order reference and we'll sort it out.
