An international roaming pack from Jio or Vi keeps your Indian SIM registered on a network in France: incoming calls, bank and UPI OTPs and WhatsApp codes keep arriving on the number you already have. The operator apps want an Indian card or UPI; here you pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay in your own currency and the pack lands on the line in about a minute.

Most people who top up a number in India also visit. Data from the moment you land, and fares for the trip, from the same place.
Bank OTPs, banking apps and ID verification all need your home SIM active. A small recharge every validity cycle keeps it working while you're abroad.
Parents' phone out of balance? Recharge it from here with your card and they get it before you've closed the tab.
Same Slashtel account as your travel eSIM. One WhatsApp support line for both. Data without borders, in both directions.
Enter the number and we detect the operator automatically. Plans and amounts shown are live from the operator.
Balance codes, customer care numbers and how long each India number stays active are on the India recharge page and each operator page (Airtel, Jio, Vi, BSNL).
Pay with a card from any country. Top up numbers in India with a Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Apple Pay or Google Pay issued anywhere (debit or credit; prepaid and gift cards are not accepted). UPI needs an Indian bank account, and many Indian recharge sites and apps decline cards issued abroad.
Country code +91: how to call India and its number format.
You can recharge an Indian mobile number from France through Slashtel in a few minutes. Enter the 10 digit Indian mobile number, choose a plan from Airtel, BSNL, Jio or Vi, and pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. Top ups start from $2.65, and there are 32 plans on this route, checked on 29 October 2026.

Recharging an Indian number from France takes a few minutes. Open Slashtel, type the 10 digit Indian mobile number, pick one of the 32 plans for Airtel, BSNL, Jio or Vi, and pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. The operator is detected from the number, so you do not choose it yourself. Top ups start from $2.65.
Slashtel sends the top up straight to the number. There is no voucher code to pass on and no app for your family to install in India.
Plans on this route start low and rise with data and call allowances. A Vi 6 GB data plan costs 89 INR for 14 days, while a BSNL 20 GB Data Pack costs 105 INR for 7 days. At the top end, a Jio plan with unlimited calls and 1.5 GB per day costs 299 INR for 28 days. All amounts are in INR and show what the number receives.
Small data packs suit a family member who needs a little extra data on a short trip. The BSNL 40 GB Data Pack at 198 INR for 30 days is a data only option.
Combined plans include calls and data together. Airtel offers unlimited calls plus 2 GB data at 199 INR for 28 days, and Vi offers unlimited calls plus 2 GB at the same 199 INR for 28 days. BSNL has several: unlimited calls plus unlimited data at 147 INR for 25 days, at 153 INR for 24 days and at 219 INR for 28 days, and unlimited calls plus 2.5 GB per day at 225 INR for 30 days. BSNL also lists 200 minutes plus unlimited data at 107 INR for 20 days. Jio has a plan with 10 GB plus subscriptions to 10 OTT apps at 175 INR for 28 days, and unlimited calls plus 1.5 GB per day at 299 INR for 28 days.
If a plan is taxed by the operator, the amount shown is what lands on the number after that tax. You do not need to work anything out.
A French SIM and an Indian SIM can sit side by side. Keep the Indian number alive with a small top up before the previous plan runs out. Slashtel sends the top up to the number directly, so your family in India does not need to buy a voucher or visit a shop. A short data pack is often enough to keep the line in use.
Many people in France keep an Indian number for bank messages, one time passwords and calls from relatives. Those services need an active line, not a large plan.
A Vi 6 GB data plan at 89 INR for 14 days is a low cost way to keep the line working for a fortnight. A BSNL 20 GB Data Pack at 105 INR for 7 days works in the same way. Choose the plan that matches how long you want the number active, and top up again when it nears its end.
Indian mobile numbers have 10 digits. In international format the number starts with +91, and the leading zero of the national number is dropped. The national number 081234 56789 becomes +91 81234 56789. Type it carefully: Slashtel detects the operator from the number, so a wrong digit can send the top up to the wrong line.
India's dial code is 91. If a relative gives you a number written with a leading zero, remove that zero before you add +91.
Check the operator shown against what you expect. If the number belongs to Airtel but the page shows another operator, stop and re enter the number.
**You pay in France by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. The page shows the live from price, currently $2.65, and the plans themselves are listed in INR as the amount the Indian number receives. There are 32 plans on this route, checked on 29 October 2026. **
Payments are made from your French account in the usual way. The plan value is what the operator credits to the number.
If a plan carries the operator's tax, the amount shown is the amount that lands after that tax. Read the plan label before paying, then confirm the number once more.
Use Slashtel. Enter the 10 digit Indian mobile number with +91, choose a plan for Airtel, BSNL, Jio or Vi, and pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. The operator is detected from the number and the top up is sent straight to it. Plans start from $2.65.
Yes. Airtel is one of the four operators supported on this route. One example is unlimited calls plus 2 GB data at 199 INR for 28 days. Enter the number in international format and Slashtel will detect Airtel from it.
Enter the BSNL number with +91 and the leading zero removed, then pick a BSNL plan. Options include a 20 GB Data Pack at 105 INR for 7 days and unlimited calls plus unlimited data at 147 INR for 25 days. Pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay.
Indian mobile numbers have 10 digits. Write them as +91 followed by the 10 digits, so 081234 56789 becomes +91 81234 56789. Drop the leading zero. Slashtel detects the operator from the number, so check every digit before paying.
Top ups on this route start from $2.65. The plans are listed in INR as the amount the Indian number receives, from 89 INR for a Vi 6 GB data plan to 299 INR for a Jio plan with unlimited calls and 1.5 GB per day. There are 32 plans in total.
Up to €10: Airtel UL Calls+4GB/Day, 28 days ($10.50). Up to €20: Airtel UL Calls+2 GB Day/84D, 84 days ($22.05). Up to €50: Jio 3GB/D + UL Calls, 84 days ($39.96). Converted at 0.9 EUR per $1 on 7 November 2026.
BSNL at $5.15 for 35 days (UL calls + UL data), about 15¢ a day, as of 7 November 2026. Vi: about 15¢ a day. Airtel: about 15¢ a day. Jio: about 16¢ a day.
Vi, at about ₹52 per $1 on 7 November 2026, against ₹42 per $1 for BSNL.
India (New Delhi) is 4 hours 30 minutes ahead of Paris right now. Recharges are delivered around the clock, so the time of day does not matter.
Enter it with the country code +91. A number written locally as 081234 56789 becomes +91 81234 56789, so drop the leading 0 after the country code. Indian mobile numbers have 10 digits after the country code. The example is a format guide, not a real number.
Enter the number with the country code, pick a plan and pay by card. The operator is detected automatically and the credit goes straight to the phone. You do not need an account or a bank account in India.
Yes. Visa, Mastercard and other major debit and credit cards issued in France and most other countries are accepted.
Yes. Slashtel tops up any prepaid number in India, your own or a family member's. You only need the number; the person does not need an account.
Recharges are delivered instantly and cannot be reversed once they reach a valid number, so check the number before you pay. If the operator rejects the number, Slashtel resends or refunds you in full.
Prices on this page are in US dollars and include the Slashtel service fee. At checkout your card may be shown and charged in your local currency, and the exact amount is confirmed before you pay.
Yes. Payments are processed by Stripe with 3D Secure where your bank supports it, and Slashtel never sees or stores your full card details.
Most recharges arrive within a few minutes. If the phone is switched off, the credit lands when it next connects. You get a confirmation email with your order reference.
If the operator rejects the recharge, we resend it. If it still can't be delivered, write to esim@slashtel.com or message us on WhatsApp with your order reference and we'll sort it out.
