You can top up a Telcel number from abroad by entering the 10 digit Mexican mobile number on Slashtel, choosing a recharge amount and paying by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. The operator is detected from the number, and the top up is delivered to the phone in minutes.
Slashtel sells direct top ups, so the credit or plan lands on the Telcel line itself rather than on a separate account. There is nothing to install and no app to download. You only need the Mexican mobile number and a payment method.
Once the payment is confirmed, the recharge is sent to Telcel. Delivery usually takes a few minutes. If the number is active and the details are correct, the balance or plan appears on the phone.
Telcel top ups are available as general recharges and as Amigo Sin Limite plans. General recharges add balance to the line, while named plans include a set amount and, for some options, a validity period. The amount shown is what lands on the phone after any operator tax.
General recharges are available in amounts such as MX$96.60, MX$193.20, MX$289.80, MX$386.40, MX$579.60 and MX$966. These add balance that can be used for calls, messages and data according to the Telcel tariff.
Amigo Sin Limite options include MX$20, MX$100, Internet 30, Amigo Sin Limite 50, Internet 150, Internet 200, Amigo Sin Limite 300 and Internet 500. Some of these have a validity period: Internet 30 lasts 3 days, Amigo Sin Limite 50 lasts 7 days, Internet 150 lasts 26 days, and Internet 200, Amigo Sin Limite 300 and Internet 500 last 30 days. The exact contents of each plan are set by Telcel.
Enter the Mexican mobile number as 10 digits, for example 222 123 4567. The country code is 52, and the international format is +52 222 123 4567. Do not add a leading zero, because Mexican mobile numbers do not use one after the country code.
If you are typing the number from a contact saved abroad, it may already include +52. In that case, keep the 52 and enter the remaining 10 digits. Do not repeat the country code.
Check the number before paying. A top up sent to a wrong number cannot be recalled once it has been delivered to Telcel.
If a top up does not go through, first check that the number is a 10 digit Mexican mobile number and that the country code is not duplicated. Most failures come from a wrong digit, an inactive line or a payment that was not completed.
If the payment was taken but the balance has not appeared after a short wait, the line may be inactive or the number may belong to a different operator. Slashtel detects the operator from the number, so a number that is not on Telcel will not accept a Telcel recharge.
If the problem continues, contact Slashtel support with the number, the amount and the time of the payment. Do not send a second top up to the same number until the first one is resolved.
Payments on Slashtel are made by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. The payment page is secure, and you do not need to share a password or a banking code with anyone to send a top up.
Only enter payment details on the checkout page after you have confirmed the number and the amount. A top up is a direct payment, so there is no need to send money to a person or to use a third party transfer.
Keep the confirmation you receive after payment. It shows the number, the amount and the time, which is useful if you need to check the delivery with support.

From the USA you top up Telcel by entering the 10 digit Mexican number, choosing a Telcel Amigo Sin Limite plan and paying with a US card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. No account is needed and most top-ups arrive within minutes. The operator is detected from the number, so you do not pick Telcel yourself.
Mexican numbers on Telcel are 10 digits, for example 222 123 4567. There is no leading zero to drop, so type the number exactly as your family member gives it to you. If they send it in international form, +52 222 123 4567, leave off the 52 when you enter it.
The amount that lands on the phone is shown next to each plan, so you can see what your relative receives before you pay. Prices are in US dollars and nothing is added at checkout.
You can send up to 2 top-ups per card, email or number every 24 hours. If you need a third in the same day, wait for the 24 hour window to pass.
From Canada the steps are the same as from the USA: enter the 10 digit Mexican number, choose a Telcel plan and pay with a Canadian card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. No account is needed, and the operator is detected from the number. Most top-ups arrive within minutes.
Canadian cards work because payment goes through with any card the bank confirms, whatever country issued it. You do not need a Mexican card, a Mexican bank account or a local address.
Use the same 10 digit format, such as 222 123 4567. Do not add the 52 from the international form +52 222 123 4567, and do not add a leading zero. The operator is detected from the number, so the system knows it is Telcel before you pay.
Plans include the MX$20 recharge and Internet 30, which gives MX$30 for 3 days. The amount that lands on the phone is shown next to each plan, and prices are in US dollars shown before payment.
From Spain you top up Telcel the same way: enter the 10 digit Mexican number, pick a plan and pay with a Spanish card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. No account is needed. Cards from any country work, and most top-ups arrive within minutes.
A Spanish card is fine. The payment step accepts Apple Pay, Google Pay or a card the bank confirms, and it works with cards from any country. You do not need a Mexican payment method.
Type the number in its 10 digit national form, for example 222 123 4567. If you have it as +52 222 123 4567, remove the 52. There is no zero to drop. The operator is detected from the number, so Telcel is recognised automatically.
Choose the MX$20 recharge or Internet 30, which gives MX$30 for 3 days, and check the amount that lands on the phone next to the plan. Prices are in US dollars and nothing is added at checkout. You can send up to 2 top-ups per card, email or number every 24 hours.
You pay with Apple Pay, Google Pay or a card the bank confirms, from any country, with no account needed. Prices are in US dollars shown before payment with nothing added at checkout. Most top-ups arrive within minutes, you get an email receipt, and the operator is detected from the number.
The amount that lands on the phone is shown next to each plan, so there are no surprises. The MX$20 recharge puts MX$20 on the phone. Internet 30 puts MX$30 on the phone for 3 days. These are the receive values, listed beside each plan before you pay.
Delivery is quick. Most top-ups arrive within minutes, and an email receipt confirms the order. The operator is detected from the number, which means you do not have to choose Telcel from a list or risk sending to the wrong network.
There is a limit of up to 2 top-ups per card, email or number every 24 hours. Plan around that if you send regularly, and keep the 10 digit number handy so each top-up takes only a moment. Mexican numbers use 10 digits, such as 222 123 4567, with no leading zero to drop.
