Dial 1717 from any network in Sri Lanka, or +94 71 275 5777, 24 hours a day. #888# opens the self-care menu.
Enter it with the country code +94. A number written locally as 071 234 5678 becomes +94 71 234 5678, so drop the leading 0 after the country code. Sri Lankan mobile numbers have 9 digits after the country code. The example is a format guide, not a real number.
Enter the number with the country code, pick a plan and pay by card. The operator is detected automatically and the credit goes straight to the phone. You do not need an account or a bank account in Sri Lanka.
