Country code +20: how to call Egypt and its number format.
You can recharge an Egyptian number from Qatar by entering the mobile number with the country code 20, choosing an operator such as WE Telecom, Etisalat, Orange or Vodafone, and paying by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. Top-ups start from $2.50, and the operator is detected from the number itself. The page lists 21 plans, checked on 29 October 2026.

Open the recharge page, type the Egyptian mobile number, pick a plan and pay from Qatar by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. The operator is detected from the number, so you do not need to know whether your family uses WE Telecom, Etisalat, Orange or Vodafone before you start. Top-ups begin at $2.50.
Egyptian mobile numbers are 10 digits long. When you enter one, drop the leading zero, so 010 01234567 becomes 10 01234567 after the country code 20. The full international form is +20 10 01234567.
Here is the full process:
The whole order takes a few minutes, and the person in Egypt receives the credit on their own line. You do not need an account with the Egyptian operator.
The plans on this page cover WE Telecom, Etisalat, Orange and Vodafone. Etisalat bundles such as New Hekaya Mix and Hekaya Mixat mix airtime with allowances over 28 days, while Orange, WE Telecom and Vodafone entries are straightforward recharges. Amounts shown are what lands on the line after the operator's tax.
Etisalat offers several 28 day bundles. New Hekaya Mix 52 delivers 36 EGP, New Hekaya Mix 98 delivers 68.6 EGP, and New Hekaya Mix 150 delivers 105 EGP. Hekaya Mixat 52 delivers 52 EGP and Hekaya Mixat 180 delivers 180.01 EGP.
Orange recharges include 32.56 EGP, 43.68 EGP, 124.87 EGP and 145.48 EGP. WE Telecom airtime delivers 92.4 EGP, and Vodafone airtime delivers 224.7 EGP.
Where a plan is taxed, the figure you see is the amount that reaches the line after the operator's tax is taken. That means the recipient gets exactly the value listed, so there is no surprise when the credit arrives.
If you live in Qatar and hold an Egyptian number, a top-up keeps the line in credit so it stays usable for calls, messages and incoming verification codes. Sending a recharge from Doha takes a couple of minutes and does not need the phone to be in Egypt or switched on at the time.
Many people keep an Egyptian line for bank alerts, family contact and one time passwords. A line with no credit can lapse, so a small recharge from Qatar is a simple way to keep it alive. You can send one to your own number just as easily as to a relative's.
The operator is detected from the number, so you can top up a line you have not used in a while without remembering which network it is on. The 21 plans on this page cover all four operators, so there is an option for most lines.
Egyptian mobile numbers are 10 digits. Remove the leading zero before you submit, so 010 01234567 is entered as 10 01234567. The international form is +20 10 01234567. A wrong digit sends the credit to the wrong line, so read the number back to the person before you pay.
The country code for Egypt is 20. If someone gives you a number starting with 01, that first zero is part of the local format only and is dropped when the number is used internationally. Our form expects the number without that zero.
Check the operator shown after you type the number. If it does not match the network your family uses, the number has most likely been typed incorrectly. Correct it before paying. Once a top-up is sent to a number, it cannot be pulled back.
You pay in Qatari riyals from a card, Apple Pay or Google Pay, and the top-up starts from $2.50. The price is shown before you confirm, and the amount that lands on the Egyptian line is listed on each plan. No extra charges are added at checkout.
Payment is taken from your Qatari card or wallet, which keeps the process simple if you are sending from Doha. You do not need a local Egyptian payment method, and the recipient does not need to do anything.
The plan list shows what the person in Egypt receives for each option. Where the operator applies tax, the received amount is already net of it. Prices and plans were checked on 29 October 2026, and the live from-price is shown on the page as $2.50.
