stc's mobile terms give a sawa prepaid SIM 180 days of validity, extended by up to 180 days from the customer's last paid activity, and balance validity of 90 days from each recharge (renewed by up to 90 days from the last paid activity). When the SIM expires the remaining balance is cancelled and stc may reassign the number. A recharge counts as paid activity; transfers between prepaid lines do not.
