Country code +51: how to call Peru and its number format.
You can top up a Bitel Peru number from abroad online in a few minutes. Enter the Peruvian mobile number, pick a Bitel recharge amount and pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. Bitel top ups start from $3.97, and the operator is detected from the number itself. Numbers use the +51 dial code and 9 digits, for example +51 912 345 678.

Open the Bitel Peru top up page, enter the Peruvian mobile number, choose a recharge amount and pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. The operator is detected from the number, so you do not need to select Bitel yourself. The credit is sent straight to the number, and there is no app for your family member to install.
Peru uses the dial code 51, and Bitel mobile numbers have 9 digits. A typical number looks like 912 345 678 nationally, or +51 912 345 678 in international form. Keep the number as it is when you type it into the form.
Bitel is one of several Peruvian operators, alongside Movistar, Claro and Entel. Because the operator is detected from the number, a Bitel number is routed to Bitel automatically. You pay in your own currency by card or a mobile wallet, and the recharge is delivered to the Bitel line.
The steps are the same whether you are in the UK or anywhere else:
Bitel recharges are available in fixed amounts from PEN 5.01 to PEN 100. Each amount is what lands on the phone as credit, and none of the Bitel amounts on this page are taxed, so the full value reaches the line. The smallest order starts from $3.97.
The available Bitel amounts are PEN 5.01, PEN 10, PEN 19, PEN 30, PEN 50, PEN 75 and PEN 100. These are top up values, not bundles, so the credit can be used as the Bitel line normally would.
Choose the amount that suits the person you are sending to. A small recharge keeps a line active for a short period, while a larger amount gives more credit in one go. If an amount were taxed, the figure shown would be what lands after the operator's tax, but the Bitel amounts here carry no such deduction.
The from price of $3.97 refers to the smallest available order. The final amount you pay depends on the recharge you select and the currency your card is charged in.
Peruvian mobile numbers have 9 digits, and Bitel numbers follow the same pattern. Type the number exactly as it is, without adding or removing digits. You can use the national form such as 912 345 678 or the international form with the +51 dial code. Spaces are fine.
The example number +51 912 345 678 shows the full international shape: the 51 country code followed by 9 digits. If you copy a number from a message, remove any extra characters that are not part of the number.
Do not drop digits from the start of the number. The form expects the full 9 digit Peruvian mobile number, and a shortened entry will not match a Bitel line. Check the number against a recent message from the person you are topping up before you pay.
If the detected operator is not Bitel, the number is likely entered wrongly or belongs to a different Peruvian network. Correct the number and check again before confirming.
Most failures come from a mistyped number, a number that is not active, or a payment that the bank declined. Check the 9 digit number and the detected operator first, then try the payment again. If the order was accepted, the credit normally reaches the Bitel line shortly after.
Start by comparing the number with the one your family member gave you. A single wrong digit can send the recharge to a different line or stop it entirely. Make sure the number is a live Bitel mobile number and not a landline.
If your card was declined, try another card or a mobile wallet. Your bank may block a payment to a merchant abroad, and approving it in your banking app usually solves it.
Keep the confirmation you receive after paying. It shows the number and the amount you ordered, which is what you need if you have to follow up.
Payments are made by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay on the top up page. Your card details are handled by the payment provider, and the recharge goes straight to the Bitel number you entered. Check the number and the detected operator on the confirmation screen before you pay.
Only enter payment details on the checkout page after you have confirmed the number. Take a moment to read the amount and the operator shown, because a confirmed order is sent to the number as entered.
Use a card or wallet in your own name and keep the receipt. If something looks wrong before you pay, stop and correct the number rather than completing the order.
Go to the Bitel Peru recharge page, enter the 9 digit Peruvian mobile number, choose a recharge amount and pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. The operator is detected from the number, so Bitel is recognised automatically and the credit is sent straight to the line.
The smallest Bitel amount on the page is PEN 5.01, and orders start from $3.97. Larger amounts are also available up to PEN 100. Each amount shown is the credit that lands on the phone, as the Bitel amounts listed here are not taxed.
You can enter the number in national form such as 912 345 678 or in international form with the 51 dial code as +51 912 345 678. Peruvian mobile numbers have 9 digits, and spaces are fine. Do not remove digits from the start of the number.
Check that the 9 digit number is correct and that the detected operator shows Bitel. A declined card or a mistyped number are common causes. If the order was accepted, the credit normally reaches the Bitel line shortly after. Keep your confirmation to follow up.
You can send top ups to Bitel, and the same page covers the other main Peruvian networks, Movistar, Claro and Entel. The operator is detected from the number you enter, so you do not have to choose it yourself before paying.
Enter it with the country code +51. A number written locally as 912 345 678 becomes +51 912 345 678. Peruvian mobile numbers have 9 digits after the country code. The example is a format guide, not a real number.
Enter the number with the country code, pick a plan and pay by card. The operator is detected automatically and the credit goes straight to the phone. You do not need an account or a bank account in Peru.
