Slashtel delivers a Claro Dominican Republic top-up straight to the number in minutes. You enter the 10-digit mobile number, choose an airtime amount or a data bundle, and pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. The operator is detected from the number itself, so there is no network to select and no app to install.
The whole process takes a couple of minutes, and the balance or bundle is added to the Claro line directly. You do not need the recipient to do anything on their phone.
Two kinds of top-up are available. Airtime top-ups add balance in Dominican pesos, with amounts of 343, 687, 1030, 1374, 2060 or 3434 DOP landing on the line. Data plans add a bundle with a set validity, from 6GB for 5 days up to 35GB plus 35GB social for 30 days. The amount shown is what lands on the phone.
Airtime is the flexible option: the balance can be used for calls, SMS or whatever the Claro line needs. Data plans are better when the phone is used mainly for internet, maps and messaging. The bundles include options such as 8GB for 5 days, 12GB for 10 days, 17GB for 15 days and 35GB plus 35GB social for 30 days.
None of the listed Claro plans carry an operator tax, so the figure you see is the figure that reaches the number. If a plan is ever taxed, the amount shown is what lands after the operator's tax has been taken.
Claro numbers in the Dominican Republic have 10 digits, written nationally as (809) 234-5678 and internationally as +1 809 234 5678. The country dial code is 1, and there is no leading zero to drop. Enter the 10 digits exactly as they appear, without spaces or brackets, and the operator is recognised automatically.
A common mistake is adding the country code inside the number field when the form already handles it. If you are copying from a contact, remove the +1 and any brackets before typing. The number must be a mobile line, not a landline.
If the number is entered wrongly, the top-up may be sent to a different line or rejected. Check the digits once more before paying, especially the first three after the area code.
Most top-ups arrive within minutes. If nothing appears, first confirm that the number is an active Claro mobile line and that the digits were entered correctly. A pending payment, a declined card or a number that has been ported away from Claro are the usual causes. In those cases the top-up is not delivered and the payment is not captured.
If the number has recently moved to another operator, the automatic detection may still show Claro. The recipient can confirm which network the SIM is on. If the line is suspended or inactive, the operator will not accept the top-up.
When a payment is declined, try another card or a different payment method. If the top-up shows as pending for longer than expected, keep the confirmation reference and contact Slashtel support with the number and the amount.
Payment is taken by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay through Slashtel, and the top-up is sent to the number once the payment is authorised. No card details are shared with the operator, and the recipient never needs to provide payment information. Prices start from $14.94.
Use a payment method in your own name and keep the confirmation email or receipt. It contains the number, the plan and the amount, which is useful if you need to check anything later.
Slashtel sells direct top-ups only. There is no need to send money to a third party or ask the recipient to buy credit locally. The balance or bundle is applied to the Claro line as soon as the order is processed.
