How long does an stc sawa prepaid line stay valid without a recharge?
stc's mobile terms give a sawa prepaid SIM 180 days of validity, extended by up to 180 days from the customer's last paid activity, and balance validity of 90 days from each recharge (renewed by up to 90 days from the last paid activity). When the SIM expires the remaining balance is cancelled and stc may reassign the number. A recharge counts as paid activity; transfers between prepaid lines do not. Keeping a small balance on the line before you fly, and topping up during a long trip, avoids losing the number.
Do I need the SIM in a phone?
No. The recharge lands on the line whether or not the SIM is in a phone. For OTPs and calls you do need it in a phone with roaming on, or in the second slot of your travel phone.
How fast is it?
About a minute from payment. You get an email receipt with the operator transaction ID.
Can I pay from India or the UK?
