You can top up a Smart Philippines number from abroad by entering the 10-digit mobile number without the leading zero, choosing a top-up amount and paying by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. The operator is detected from the number and the load is delivered to the phone in minutes, with prices from $2.54.
Smart is one of the main mobile operators in the Philippines, alongside Globe, TNT and DITO. A top-up adds prepaid load to a Smart number so the person in the Philippines can use it for calls, texts and mobile data. You do not need a Smart app or a local bank account to send one from another country.
Slashtel sells direct top-ups rather than vouchers or codes. The amount is sent straight to the number you enter, so the recipient does not have to redeem anything.
The top-up amount shown is what lands on the Smart number after the operator's tax, so the balance the recipient receives is the figure you see at checkout. Available amounts appear once you have entered a valid Smart number, because the operator is detected from that number.
Smart prepaid load can be used for regular calls and texts, for mobile data bundles, or for any promo the account holder chooses to buy. The load sits on the balance and the person in the Philippines decides how to spend it.
If you are topping up for a family member, the amount is added to their existing prepaid balance. Nothing is locked to a single service unless the account holder buys a specific promo with it.
A Smart mobile number in the Philippines has 10 digits after the country code. When you top up from abroad, enter the number without the leading zero, so 0905 123 4567 becomes 905 123 4567, and the country code 63 is added automatically.
The international format of the same number is +63 905 123 4567. If you copy a number from a contact list, remove the plus sign, the country code and the leading zero before entering it, or simply type the 10 digits into the number field.
Check the number twice before paying. A top-up sent to a wrong number cannot be recalled, because the load is delivered to whichever Smart account matches the digits you entered.
Most failed top-ups are caused by a wrong number, a number that is not a Smart prepaid line, or a payment that was declined by the bank. If the payment went through but the load has not arrived after a short wait, contact support with the number and the order reference.
A number that has been ported to another operator, or a postpaid Smart line, may not accept a prepaid top-up. In that case the order is usually cancelled and the payment is returned.
If the recipient says the balance has not changed, ask them to restart the phone and check the balance again. Prepaid balances sometimes refresh only after the handset reconnects to the network.
Payment is taken by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay on a secure checkout page. You do not share a Smart account password, and the recipient does not need to give you any login details for the top-up to arrive.
Only the mobile number and the payment details are needed. Keep the order confirmation until the recipient confirms the load has landed.
If you top up the same number regularly, save it in your account so you do not have to type the digits again and risk a typing error.

Use the 10 digits after the country code, without the leading zero. The national number 0905 123 4567 is entered as 905 123 4567. The international form is +63 905 123 4567, with country code 63.
Top-ups are delivered to the Smart number in minutes. If the balance has not changed, ask the recipient to restart the phone and check again, as prepaid balances sometimes refresh after the handset reconnects.
A top-up sent to the wrong number cannot be recalled, because the load goes to whichever Smart account matches the digits entered. Check the number carefully before paying, and contact support if an order fails.

Call *888 toll-free from the Smart prepaid SIM. From abroad, Smart lists +63 2 8848 8878.
Enter it with the country code +63. A number written locally as 0905 123 4567 becomes +63 905 123 4567, so drop the leading 0 after the country code. Filipino mobile numbers have 10 digits after the country code. The example is a format guide, not a real number.
