The small recharges are PKR 230, PKR 300 and PKR 1,000. These are taxed, so the amount that lands is lower than the face value: 204.45, 266.67 and 888.9 respectively. The figure shown is what the phone receives after the operator's tax, not the amount you pay.
The bundles are not taxed. Monthly Call gives 450 with 30 days validity. Area Play Extreme gives 520 with 7 days validity. Monthly Social gives 700 with 30 days validity. Monthly Pro Max gives 2800 with 30 days validity. My5 Family Sharing (5 User) gives 6000 with 30 days validity and covers five users.
Pick the plan that matches how your family member uses the phone. A short bundle suits someone who needs data or calls for a week. A monthly bundle suits regular use. For a household, the family sharing plan covers several numbers at once.
Pakistani mobile numbers have 10 digits after the country code. The national format starts with a zero, as in 0301 2345678. For an international top up, drop the zero and use +92 followed by the remaining digits, as in +92 301 2345678. Getting this right means the top up reaches the right phone.
The country code for Pakistan is 92. The zero at the start of the national number is only used inside Pakistan, so it is dropped when you send from abroad.
If you are unsure of the number, ask your family member to read it back to you digit by digit. A single wrong digit can send the top up to someone else, and a top up cannot be pulled back once it has landed on a number.
Most top ups go through without a problem. If one does not, the usual causes are a mistyped number, a payment that was declined by the bank, or a temporary issue on the network side. Check the number first, then the payment, then try again.
If the payment was declined, contact your bank. Card issuers sometimes block payments to overseas merchants until you confirm the transaction. Apple Pay and Google Pay can also fail if the card behind them has expired.
If the number was wrong, the top up may have gone to another phone. Check the number carefully before you pay.
If everything looks correct and the top up still has not arrived, wait a little and ask your family member to check their balance again. Network systems sometimes take time to show a recharge.
Payments are made by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. You do not share your bank details with the person receiving the top up, and they do not need to share anything with you beyond the phone number. The operator is detected from the number, so you always see the right network before you pay.
Paying by card or wallet means the transaction is handled by your provider, with the usual protections that come with it. Keep your payment confirmation until your family member confirms the top up has arrived.
