You top up an inwi number from abroad by entering the Moroccan mobile number, picking a recharge amount or bundle, and paying with a card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. Slashtel detects inwi from the number, so you do not choose a network. The credit or bundle goes straight to the phone in Morocco.
The whole process runs from your browser and takes a few minutes. There is nothing for your family member to install and no voucher to read out over the phone.
Keep the confirmation you receive. It is the reference you need if anything has to be traced.
You can send a plain recharge from MAD 10 to MAD 300, or a data bundle from 1GB for MAD 10 up to 20 GB for MAD 200. Air time recharges have no fixed validity shown. Bundles carry their own validity period, from 3 days to 30 days depending on the plan you pick.
The recharge line covers MAD 10, MAD 20, MAD 30, MAD 100, MAD 150, MAD 200 and MAD 300. These are straightforward credit top ups for calls, texts or data as the receiver chooses.
The Inwi Bundles line is for data. The 1GB bundle costs MAD 10 and lasts 3 days. The 300MB Social Media bundle costs MAD 10 and lasts 7 days. The 2 GB bundle costs MAD 20 and lasts 7 days. The 1GB Social Media bundle costs MAD 20 and lasts 15 days. The 2GB Social Media bundle costs MAD 30 and lasts 30 days. The 5 GB bundle costs MAD 50 and lasts 30 days, the 10 GB bundle costs MAD 100 and lasts 30 days, and the 20 GB bundle costs MAD 200 and lasts 30 days. All of these are listed as not taxed, so the amount shown is what lands.
Moroccan mobile numbers have 9 digits after the country code, and the leading zero is dropped when you use the international form. So 06 50 12 34 56 becomes +212 6 50 12 34 56. Either format is accepted on the page, and inwi is detected from the number.
Type the number without spaces if your keyboard makes that easier. What matters is the digit count and the drop of the leading zero in international form.
Double check the number against a message from your family member before you pay. A top up sent to a wrong but valid number cannot be pulled back once it lands.
Most failed top ups come from a mistyped number, a card that has not been approved for the payment, or a temporary issue at the operator. Check the confirmation first, then check the number you entered. If the order did not complete, the payment should not have been taken.
If the order shows as placed but the credit is not on the phone, wait a little before retrying. Do not send a second top up to the same number straight away, because both may land.
Keep your order reference to hand when you contact support.
Payments are made by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay through the checkout, and the operator is detected from the number you enter. You do not share card details with the person receiving the top up, and no one needs to send you a code or a voucher.
Use a payment method in your own name and check the amount on the confirmation screen before you approve it. Prices start from $2.58.
Only send top ups to numbers you know. If someone asks you to recharge a number you do not recognise, stop and check with the person you are helping first.
