Routes we track to India

We track six routes: London to Delhi, London to Mumbai, London to Amritsar, London to Kochi, Dubai to Kochi and Dubai to Mumbai. On London to Delhi we see nonstop flights with Air India and British Airways. On Dubai to Kochi we see nonstop flights with IndiGo, Air India Express and SpiceJet. Book with the live fare calendar on this page.

Use the calendar to compare your travel dates before you commit. Fares move week to week, so check more than one date pair. The calendar on this page shows this month's lowest fares. It does not show a fare for every future month, so plan around the dates it covers.

If you book a low cost carrier such as IndiGo, Air India Express or SpiceJet, these appear in our data only inside self transfer routes with separate tickets. Separate tickets carry risk: if the first flight is delayed, the second airline has no duty to rebook you. Leave a long gap between flights and travel with hand luggage only if you can.

Steps to plan your trip:

  1. Pick your departure airport and destination from the routes above.
  2. Check the live fare calendar on this page for this month's lowest fares.
  3. Compare at least two date pairs before you decide.
  4. Allow extra time if your route uses separate tickets.
  5. Set a price alert so you see changes as your dates get closer.

When fares to India are lowest

Fares to India are usually lowest outside the busy festival weeks and school holidays. Demand climbs around Diwali in November, Christmas and New Year, Holi in March, Vaisakhi on 14 April 2027 and Onam in August or September. The live fare calendar on this page shows this month's lowest fares, so start there and stay flexible on dates.

For family visits and work trips, midweek departures often give you more choice than weekend ones. Check the calendar for a few date pairs and compare. Journey length and the number of stops change what you pay, so line up the nonstop options first on London to Delhi and Dubai to Kochi, then look at self transfer routes.

Fares also respond to how far ahead you book. Our fare calendars cover the next 12 months, so watch your route over a few weeks before you book. Set an alert and let the calendar do the watching.

Festival peaks: Diwali, Christmas, Holi and Onam

Diwali falls on 8 November 2026 and about 29 October 2027, and it is the busiest travel period on our routes. Christmas and New Year, Holi in March, Vaisakhi on 14 April 2027 and Onam in August or September also lift demand. Expect to book earlier and to see the lowest fares disappear first around these dates.

Diwali and Christmas and New Year overlap with school holidays in the UK and the Gulf, which adds pressure on London to Delhi and Dubai to Kochi. Holi in March and Vaisakhi on 14 April 2027 are shorter peaks but still busy on Punjab routes, including London to Amritsar. Onam in August or September is a key date for Kerala travellers, so London to Kochi and Dubai to Kochi fill earlier in those weeks.

If your trip is fixed to a festival, compare dates early and use alerts. If it is flexible, shifting by a few days either side of the peak often helps.

Arriving in India: phone, data and entry

India's main mobile networks are Jio, Airtel and Vodafone Idea, with data up to 5G. A travel eSIM or a top up keeps you connected for family visits, festival travel and work. Check the official entry rules for your passport before you fly, and check what your airline and airport require at check in. Do this well before departure.

Plans come in different sizes and lengths, so you can match one to a short visit or a long stay. Choose a network that fits your route and the places you will stay.

Time zones matter when you land and when you call home. India is 5 hours 30 minutes ahead of the UK in winter and 4 hours 30 minutes ahead in British Summer Time, and 1 hour 30 minutes ahead of the UAE. Set your phone to update automatically and arrange data before you fly, so you are reachable as soon as you land.

Free price alerts for your trip

Set a free price alert on any route we track and we will show you when fares move. Pick London to Delhi, London to Mumbai, London to Amritsar, London to Kochi, Dubai to Kochi or Dubai to Mumbai, add your dates and watch the live fare calendar on this page. Alerts suit festival trips and flexible family visits alike.

Start with the routes that fit your plans and keep the alert running while you compare dates. If a festival peak such as Diwali or Onam is in your window, set the alert earlier and check the calendar every few days. If your dates are open, use the calendar to find this month's lowest fares and book when a date pair works for you.
