Frankfurt Airport has Terminal 1 and Terminal 3. Terminal 1 contains areas A, B and C, and the Regional Train Station is on its underground level (Level 0), reachable from all terminal areas. The Long-Distance Station serves IC and ICE trains. The SkyLine train links the terminals, taking approximately 10 to 15 minutes from the Regional Train Station to Terminal 3 and about the same from the Long-Distance Station to Terminal 3.
Regional trains (S-Bahn, RE and RB) arrive at tracks 1 to 3 at the Regional Train Station. S-Bahn lines S8 and S9, plus regional trains RB58, RE59, RE2 and RE3, connect across the RMV area. From the Long-Distance Station you can walk to Terminal 1 in about 5 minutes. For travel across Germany and other European countries, IC and ICE trains run directly from the Long-Distance Station. Rail & Fly is worth considering and can be booked through travel agencies, airlines or Deutsche Bahn.
Bus line 61 runs towards Frankfurt Südbahnhof and stops in front of Terminal 1 and Terminal 3 on the arrival level. Bus line 62 towards Schwanheim uses the same stops. The AirLiner is a direct bus between Frankfurt Airport and Darmstadt. Before you set off, sort your mobile data with an eSIM so maps and tickets work as soon as you land.
Airport Wi-Fi usually means a sign-up page, an email address and a connection that stops at the terminal doors. A data eSIM keeps you online at the gate, in the taxi and at the hotel, and your own number stays on for calls and bank codes.
